The prequel traces the origins between the Vampires known as Death Dealers  and their onetime slaves the Lycans. Lucian played by Michael Sheen was the first lycan born into slavery, under the powerful leader Victor played by Bill Nighy. Abused by the Vampires as laborers and guards during the daylight hours and prevented from transforming by the silver spiked moon shackles kept around there necks. As leader of the Vampires Victor reigns with an iron hand, He loves only two things power and his beautiful daughter Sonja played by Rhona Mitra. Sonja rides with the Death Dealers the Vampire soldiers that protect Victors domain against marauding werewolves. Unknown to her father Sonja has fallen in love with Lucian, now a skilled blacksmith and weapons maker in the Vampire castle. If discovered their affair would mean certain death for both of them. Over time Lucian discovers a way to remove his moon shackles and gain his freedom, Victor vows to destroy Lucian when he finds out his secret. In a thrilling sequence Lucian rallies all the other lycans together and escapes from the Vampires castle with the help of Sonja. Vowing to return for his love Sonja, Lucian gathers his followers to challenge the rule of the Vampires and rescue Sonja. In a all out war that will burn between the races for centuries to come, with cutting edge creature effects and incredible battle scenes,  Underworld Rise Of The Lycans is an absolute must for fans of this trilogy.
