Knight Rider is an American television series that ran from 1982-1986 with David Hasselhoff as (Michael Knight) in the lead role as a modern day knight fighting crime. Police officer Michael Long is nearly killed by a shot to the face and left for dead, rescued by billionaire Wilton Knight Michael is given reconstructive surgery, a new identity and a new name Michael Knight. Michael was chosen by Wilton Knight to be the pilot in his new program the Foundation for Law and Government the other half of this pilot program is the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) a Pontiac Trans Am with an artificial intelligence Computer on board. Michael and KITT are brought in when a more direct approach is needed, heading the Foundation for Law and Government for Wilton Knight is Devon Miles (Edward Mulhare) who provides Michael with directives and guidance, Dr Bonnie Barstow (Patricia McPherson) is the chief engineer in charge of KITT’s care.

Michael Knight is a former police officer turned modern day knight fighting crime with the help of his car KITT an artificial intelligence computer installed in the car and friend to Michael they become quit attached to each other.
Devon Miles 
Devon Miles is head of the Foundation for Law and Government and friend to Michael Knight and appears in nearly every episode to provide mission details to Knight and KITT.
Bonnie Barstow
Bonnie Barstow is KITT’s chief mechanic and repairs KITT whenever KITT is damaged.
Garthe Knight
Garthe Knight is Wilton Knight’s son he was sentenced to three life terms in an African prison, bitter and twisted he breaks out of prison to seeks revenge on those who replaced him as the heir of the Knight Foundation.
Goliath
Goliath is built by Michael Knight’s evil twin brother Garthe Knight and coated in the same modular bond shell formula as Kitt making it virtually indestructible.
K.A.R.R
THE KNIGHT AUTOMATED ROVING ROBOT( K.A.R.R) was the first prototype for K.I.T.T, Wilton Knight thought that the car lacked the ability to preserve human life and decided to deactivate K.A.R.R and placed it in storage.
