Kickboxer is now 20 years old the film follows Kurt Sloan (Jean Claude Van Damme) and his brother Eric (Dennis Alexio) an American kickboxing champion.   Kurt and Eric travel to Bangkok where Eric takes on Tong Po (Michel Qissi) the Thailand champion,  during the first round Eric quickly discovers he is outmatched by Tong Po but refuses to admit defeat.  Kurt urges Eric not to continue but ignores his brother due to pride and continues fighting taking a vicious beating, Kurt throws in the towel to end the fight but Tong Po continues brutally paralyzing Eric in the ring.  At his brothers side in hospital Kurt vows revenge and seeks out Xian Chow (Dennis Alexio) to teach him the art of Muay Thai,  at first he’s reluctant to teach him Muay Thai because he’s American but his friend Winston (Haskell V Anderson III) convinces him to agree. The local Thai mobster Freddy Li kidnaps Mylee (Rochelle Ashana) Xian’s daughter and Eric to force Kurt into facing Tong Po in what they call the ancient way where contestants wrap their hands in hemp rope, coat the rope with resin and then dip their hands in broken glass to make their hands deadly weapons.  While Kurt is fighting Tong po Xian and Winston rescue Mylee and Eric from Freddy Li’s thugs and return to the fight to show Kurt there safe,  Kurt then defeats Tong po in an epic final battle vengeance is now his.
