was 18Sherlock Holmes is the new adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous character, this action adventure mystery Sherlock Holmes is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie. The film is set in 1891 and revolves around Holmes (Robert Downey Jr) and Dr Watson (Jude Law) stopping a conspiracy to destroy Britain. Robert Downey Jr brings the legendary detective to life and Jude Law stars as Holmes trusted colleague Dr Watson, a doctor and war veteran who is a formidable ally for Sherlock Holmes. Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler who once outwitted Holmes, earning his grudging respect. Mark Strong stars as their mysterious new adversary, Blackwood. Kelly Reilly stars as Mary Morstan Watsons love interest, who he wishes to settle down with. Eddie Marsan stars as Inspector Lestrade of scotland yard.
